Following nearly 40 hours of flying and driving, we spent a couple of recovery days at a game lodge north of Johannesburg. Gorgeous safari tent accommodation in the middle of the Dinokeng Game Reserve. Spent a day and a half doing game drives and saw so many zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs, ostriches, impala, kudos and rhinos. Never gets old; so exciting spotting wild animals in their natural habitat. Especially nice when the reserve features a brewery & cidery just 10 minutes down the road!
Our enjoyment of our couple of days was diminished somewhat by a run-in with Budget when we returned our rental vehicle before our flight to Lesotho, but overall a great start.
