We’re a Canadian couple who set a goal; to visit 100 of the most interesting countries in the world. We reached that milestone in 2018 after travels together over five decades, but we’re not done yet. We started back in the ‘70s when we quit our jobs to travel through Europe (and Africa) for a year. The ‘80s included our first two trips to South America, three to Asia, and several return trips to Europe. Our last international trip of the ’80s included our daughter, then only 18 months old. Our international travels paused for over a decade while our kids were young (except for a couple of trips across the US border to Disneyland, etc.), but we visited nearly every province and one of the territories of Canada. Then in 2003 our whole family went to China. That trip marked the resumption of our world travels, and was our first with a digital camera, allowing us to share our travel images easily. Enjoy our website!

Strange Bedrooms
In addition to seeing some pretty amazing sights, and meeting some wonderful people, one of the odd benefits of travel is the opportunity to sleep in some very exotic (or downright strange) accommodations. From gers in Mongolia to bivy sacks in Antarctica we’ve had our share! We’re not fans of big hotel chains; instead, we generally go for smaller B&B’s, apartment rentals, or hostels. We don’t always sleep in an actual building, since we have both camped on every continent of the world. But some of our “bedrooms” have been really offbeat. Click the link below to see a selection:
