In the evening, checked out Kandy Lake then visted Kandy’s most famous and revered site. The temple houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – the tooth of Buddha. Wandered through various Halls and Museums including Tusker Hall housing a famous stuffed elephant named Rajah. Crazy crowds at 6:30 when the golden tooth casket was revealed. Hundreds of devotees bringing flowers and tourists with cameras jostling to see the stupa shaped container.
