Sometimes it’s good to return to tourist sights close to home. “Home” for us is Vancouver, BC on Canada’s Pacific coast and we spent the day yesterday hosting relatives and showing them just a few of Vancouver’s splendid attractions, made even more attractive by excellent weather (at last!).
The pictures in this post are all from Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, but we also visited Stanley Park, Gastown with its steam clock, and ended up even closer to home by visiting Brewers Row in Port Moody at the end of Burrard Inlet. That’s just a sampling of the many tourist sights right here at home that remind us that we don’t have to burn tonnes of jet fuel (and endure jet lag) to see some pretty special places and enjoy some great scenery.
Our relatives headed off (without us sadly) to hit the Sea to Sky Gondola and then Whistler; more great destinations just a few hours’ drive away.
