Not sure whatever happened to KLM’s iFly magazine. It just stopped showing up in our inbox at some point. A victim of COVID? But back in 2017 they published a great story about a 3-week road trip in Namibia, and that’s the article that got us dreaming, and now planning!
The link to the article is broken and the URL isn’t saved in the Internet Archive‘s “Wayback Machine”*, but the photos and trip report were so amazing that we saved it as a PDF. Formatting is a bit wonky, but definitely worth a read. Be careful though; reading this article may compel you to visit Namibia! Click the image below for the PDF (it’s a large file with lots of images):
* What’s a WABAC (Wayback) Machine?
The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine is named after Mr. Peabody’s famous invention featured on Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends in the 1960s. You can see it in action in the YouTube video below. Video quality is pretty standard for 60 years ago. And some of us are shocked to see this old TV show in colour; only rich kids had colour TVs and the rest of us watched in black and white!
