Very early morning drive back to Paro to catch our flight back to Kathmandu. Gorgeous views of the Himalayas. Headed out to the Kathmandu Valley to try and catch some more mountain vistas but clouds and rain obscured our view. Stayed in the mountain town of Nagarkot at a hotel that normally has views of Everest from its roof top terrace. Crazy drive on a switch-backed, narrow, potholed road up from the valley floor to the rather rustic “town”. Did a short hike around the area before rain forced us back to the hotel for dinner.
