We are half way! Having reached the Maldives, we have now visited half the countries in today’s world. There are 193 UN countries, so country #97 is right in the middle. Of course we’ve visited several non-UN countries such as Kosovo and Turkish North Cyprus, and even a whole continent that isn’t a country; Antarctica. And we have visited one UN country that doesn’t even exist any more; Yugoslavia. So although “countries visited” is a bit of a moving target, we can definitely say that we’ve visited half of today’s world.
Half the countries of the world!
