Plov in Tashkent

A day in Tashkent. Visited the State Museum of Applied Arts then changed hotels. Met up with our tour guide in Uzbekistan. Rest of the group ( total of 8 ) will be arriving in the morning. Hope this works out as we are not used to traveling with a group.
Unexpectedly found ourselves in the middle of the Guinness World Record attempt for the largest plov. http://www.saveur.com/largest-plov-rice-dish-uzbekistan-wor…. Thousands of people pushing and shoving trying to see the plov caldron. Music and singing too. Streets around our hotel were all blocked off. Huge police presence and they even shut down all Internet and cell phone lines as a security measure.
