For years, we have wanted to add Japan to our “The Second 100” list of countries. Our first stop was just for a week and we didn’t visit Tokyo nor many other famous sights. We had always meant to do a combined Japan and Korea trip (and even had tickets when COVID disrupted our travel plans for the better part of three years), now we have two good reasons to return to Japan for a second time, then carry on to Australia for our eighth trip “Down Under”.
Those two good reasons are two new grandsons, one a Canadian-Australian dual citizen born in 2022, and the other born in 2024 and a dual citizen of Canada and Japan. Seeing them both in one trip is too good an opportunity to miss! We also get to meet our co-grandparents in Japan, and then see our granddaughter, and our daughter and her partner in Australia.
With a visit to Tokyo while in Japan, and hitting100counties.info’s favourite stop in Fremantle, Beerpourium, it should be a great trip.
